6 sided happiness

I was using scraps to create this card. Mixing and matching dsp to create this fun card using the hexagon punch. So super easy and usually I use the six sided stamp set to go with but decided to use trust god tonight. I hope you enjoy...

Summer gingham party

Today's party is using super bright fun colors: island indigo, daffodil delight, and melon mambo. The stamp set is the same one used last night "blooming marvelous " and the designer paper is gingham party. Love the colors seems like I need to be slurping on a big piece of watermelon . Happy stamping! Remember all of these products are available at www.stampendous.stampinup.net

Monochromatic madness

Ok, so can you tell I have found Instagram? I downloaded this collage app that helps you make super cool collages for your pics . I think this works perfectly for my blogging because it puts 4 pics into 1. The only time this wouldn't work would be if I was doing step by step instructions. Tonight's post is something fun I did with a dark color (midnight muse) as my base and used 4 bright colors and stamped on white to make these pop. I used real red, tangerine tango, gimbal green and summer star fruit. The stamp set is oh hello (complete with a chevron oval that punched into a circle). I hope you enjoy

Pizza anyone?

i have
been playing with mini pizza boxes and cards today. Again, one o the super hinges about paper crafting is that the possibilities are only limited to your imagination. I have made 2 different ones in contrasting color families.
Here's the details on the box:
1 sheet paper 6x11
Score longways on 1 and 5
Score sideways on 1,5,6 and 10
At the intersections of the scores cut on both sides so the box will fold.
Tape the box together and decorate the outside. Box measures 4x4 and the cards I side are 3 1/2 x3
There are several videos on YouTube that show you step by step but I can't load them due to computer issues.
Here are my samples
See you Monday! Happy stamping

Dry embossing with ink

I am so in love with the way this card turned out! I took the dotted Swiss embossing folder and inked one side and then ran it through the cuttlebug. I then re-inked with another color and then kept going until I achieved the look I was going  for. After 4 colors sky blue , pear pizazz ,blushing bride, and summer star fruit I was happy. The butterfly is one that I made yesterday sponging different colors together. The sentiment is from trust God which is quickly going to be my  favorite go to set!

Sponged sweetness

Finally I Ok so here is the step by step of how I made my card today. I was having so much fun getting lost in sponges and paper I almost forgot about dinner :))I started with a plain piece of whisper white card stock cut 3 3/4 x5 I used blossom punch to cut out flower.
Next I used blushing bride , soft sky and pear pizazz ink with sponges to ink the paper up. Finally I mounted my sponged paper onto sky blue and then onto a blushing bride card base.  I then took a flower that I punched and sponged earlier today and cut the center petals out of top and bottom to make the butterfly. Add a few stickles and voila !! A beautiful card.

Sympathetic but NOT drab

In making a sympathy card for a friend tonight, I relished in the fact that it turned out as bright an beautiful as she is! I realized that the sympathy cards. We usually make are more neutrals but they DON'T have to be. Our sympathy is expressed by our action to show support  and Caring enough to be
There if needed. Just food for thought happy stamping

Business cards and gift cards

Ok so today I was making small cards to stick my business cards into so I could pass them out to new people I meet. I was looking at the shape and size of it and it reminded me of the department store gift tags that used to come in boxes for birthdays and Christmas. At 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 they are perfect for using up scrap paper. I think I am going to incorporate some of these into the wrapping that I do next. Happy stamping!

Weaving and wowing

This morning before the kiddos got up I was feeling extra crafty and decided to try something I have never done before. I played with strips of paper to weave the front of my card. Now granted when I finished and stepped back and looked I realized that my island indigo was a bit too dark of a paper choice to coordinate with the gingham picnic. The second picture just shows where I dry embossed the front after finishing .

Playing with subtles

Tonight I was playing with subtle colors and although I am not so sure I love this color combination, I tolerated it long enough to create 2 cards. For some reason the combo made me thoughtful and grateful (or it could be the fact that my dear oldest daughter turned into a teenager today) I have no idea where time goes. So please forgive my meloncholy Spirit today.
Also purple is one of her favorite colors. These two cards are paired together using very vanilla, wisteria wonder and calypso coral. I also threw in some pear pizazz for a spark of green. I hope you enjoy these the stamp sets are from simply sketched and trust God. These two are quickly becoming some of my favorite stamps

Playing with new paper and stamps..

I was beyond thrilled when the ups man stopped by not once but twice this week. That meant new goodies from the new Stampin up catalog. Tonight's post is for two new colors (island indigo is actually. Bring back) and the other is calypso coral . You will notice that I have layered these with very vanilla and chocolate chip. The sentiments are from a new set entitled true God and also simply sketched.

A week of one sheet wonder

Ok so this week was going to be monochromatic and i got distracted on Pinterest with a technique called one sheet wonder. I have worked up six cards for a class using 1 sheet of card stock that I stamped with 4 different colors to create my own printed dsp (designer series paper)
Here is a pic of all 6 cards.... But each day I will focus on 1 cards detail. Tomorrow I will post for you the layout page that caught my interest of this neat design.
Here is the paper that I created using the mixed bunch stamp set and pumpkin pie, crushed curry, Sahara sand , and tempting turquoise  inks. I love the color combinations if the 3 brights and 1 neutral

Last stab at my fav color combos

If you haven't noticed this week I like BRIGHT colors especially when they are mixed together. Tonight's card is the last one of these color combos for the week. I used daffodil delight card stock 119683 along with pacific point card stock 111350 and ink 126951. The last color in the combo is melon mambo card stock 115320 and ink 126948.  The sentiment is from Junes paper pumpkin kit and the flower is from mixed bunch stamp set 125537. The accent is from dotted designer paper that is retired (:(). As I wait most impatiently for UPS to arrive nex week with my new order I will be busting out some OLD stamps back out to give them   life again.  I typically try to use all new product on my posts so that you can take advantage of purchasing if you like. But I Am a single mother who has to use what she has in order to buy more:)) this card is double embossed - the first picture shos the overall card and the secon picture shows where I ran it through the big shot with 2 different embossing folders. You should get a very unique look.

Oldie but goodie

I have spent the week playing with color combos and decided to throw back to my other love monochromatic  for next weeks blog posts. Tonight's card is one I used copic  markers to create a crushed curry flower and used designer paper to pull in the coordinating print. The blue color is is Midnight muse. Hope you enjoy!

Playing with canvas

Tonight's post is something that I got bored and tried last night. I am really trying to stick to Color families so these colors are gum ball green, summer star fruit, and rich razzleberry. I love the richness of these colors yet they don't come on too wintery. This was a blank canvas that I decided to play with. ( note to self.... Heat set after finishing for A faster drying time). The stamps didn't stamp too well unless I put my Hand behind the canvas. Will definitely have to play around with this and other mediums as well. I used my stamp and write markers to fill in some of the color. The stamp set is again one of my favs and is secret garden.

Color combos

I was playing around with color yesterday as I sit and wait a couple of days for the ups man to bring my new order. What I discovered was the possibilities are endless.... Stampin up makes it so easy to mix colors because they have laid them out for you in families so they are guaranteed to coordinate when used together. Makes life a lot easier for me :) here is the card I made using tangerine tango, old olive and tempting turquoise . What is your favorite color combo?

Simply Sent

This card set was a cute promotional item from Stampin Up but I wanted to share it to show you how easy these card kits really are.  It takes all the guess work out of figuring out what your card is going to look like.  But the beauty of it all is that you can change them up to whatever you desire.  This kit makes 8 cards and 4 of them came preprinted with Hello on them and the other 4 were blank.
I used the Hey there Friend set from this month's Paper Pumpkin set in Basic Gray on one card and also used the same stamp in Dafodil to change up the cards a bit.  I am going to use these quick kit cards when I need a go -to card to send to someone.  Hoping you have a stamperific day!!!!
